RABAT, Jan 19 (NNN-Xinhua) — Moroccan King Mohammed VI and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed on Saturday the Libyan crisis in a phone call, a government statement said.
The important role of Morocco and its recognized efforts over many years to resolve the crisis in Libya were highlighted in the phone talk, according to the statement.
Late on Saturday, a statement by the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the North African country’s “deep regret” at its exclusion from the Berlin Conference on Libya scheduled for Sunday.
“Morocco understands neither the criteria nor the motivations behind the choice of countries participating in this conference,” said the ministry statement. — NNN-AGENCIES
