MAHMUD-E-RAQI, Afghanistan, Jan 9 (NNN-AGENCIES) – Five militants were killed, as Afghan security forces stormed a hideout of Taliban fighters, in eastern Kapisa province, on Wednesday, said an army statement released today (Thursday).
The operation was launched in the Sultan Khil area, of the restive Tagab district, late Wednesday.
All those killed in the raids were local militants, the statement said.
Taliban militants, who are active in parts of the troubled Kapisa province, have not commented on the report.– NNN-AGENCIES
