4.9-Magnitude Quake Does Not Impact Iran’s Nuclear Power Plant: Reports

TEHRAN, Iran, Dec 28 (NNN-TASNIM) – The 4.9 magnitude earthquake, which hit southwest of Iran on Friday morning, has had no effect on Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant, local media reported.

According to Iran’s Seismological Centre, the epicentre of the quake was at the depth of 10 km, 28.899 north latitude, and 51.394 east longitude, near Kalameh town, 86 km to the east of the Bushehr nuclear power plant.

According to the reports, the earthquake has not caused serious damage to the people in the region either.– NNN-TASNIM
