RABAT, Dec 26 (NNN-MAP) – Morocco foiled an illegal immigration attempt, at Casablanca’s Mohammed V airport, and arrested eight, official newspaper Le Matin, said, Wednesday.
The suspects are believed to have links with a criminal network, active in the organisation of illegal immigration and trafficking in human beings, said the report, adding that, a would-be immigrant was arrested, Tuesday, at Casablanca’s Mohammed V international airport.
The search of the suspects’ houses resulted in the seizure of foreign residence cards, falsified visas and a batch of passports of would-be immigrants, it added.
The suspects were held in police custody, to complete investigation, and identify the accomplices and people involved in this criminal network, in Morocco and abroad, it said.– NNN-MAP
