TEHRAN, Iran, Dec 23 (NNN-TASNIM) – Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, on Sunday, discussed with his visiting Indian counterpart, the means to boost relations between the two countries, particularly in economic sector.
“A pleasure to co-chair the 19th Joint Commission Meeting, with India’s External Affairs Minister, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, in Tehran,” Zarif tweeted.
Jaishankar arrived in Iran late Sunday, days after the United States exempted India from sanctions, on Chabahar Port, in southern Iran, as Washington said, the Chabahar project was a lifeline for war-torn Afghanistan, to get humanitarian supplies from India.
Chabahar Port has been jointly developed by India, Iran and Afghanistan.– NNN-TASNIM
