BAGHDAD, Dec 22 (NNN-NINA) – Four policemen and a Daesh militant were killed on Saturday, in an attack by the extremist Daesh militants, in Iraq’s central province of Salahudin, a security source said.
The attack took place in the evening, when the militants attacked a police outpost, guarding oil pipelines in the north of the oil-refinery town of Baiji, some 200 km north of Baghdad, Mohammed al-Bazi, from the provincial police said.
The attack continued until a reinforcement police force arrived at the scene, forcing the attackers to withdraw to nearby desert, al-Bazi, said.
Al-Bazi also said that, a police officer was also wounded during the clash.– NNN-NINA
