DAMASCUS, Dec 21 (NNN-SANA) – Daesh militants attacked a gas field in central Syria’s Homs province, killing 13 Syrian soldiers, a war monitor reported.
The Daesh militants launched the attack on Thursday night, on the gas field in the desert region, in the eastern countryside of Homs, killing 13 soldiers and four workers.
The Britain-based watchdog group said, around 292 Syrian soldiers and pro-government fighters have been killed by the Daesh, in the desert region since Mar.
The Daesh militants have largely been defeated in their key bastions in northern and northeastern Syria.
However, thousands of Daesh militants are hiding in the sprawling desert region, east of Homs and Deir al-Zour provinces.– NNN-SANA
