“The participants will undergo training in government-linked and private companies to become strategic partners in the country’s growth, as well as play an international role,” he said during the question-and-answer session at the Senate (Dewan Negara) today.

Replying to a question from Senator Sabani Mat on the low level of financial literacy among youths, Sim said the ministry had approved a proposal to include a financial literacy module in the MFLS programme in the future.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Water, Land and Natural Resources Tengku Zulpuri Shah Raja Puji told the Senate today that the Public Works Department had listed out 38 delayed projects to the Finance Ministry (MoF).

Speaking on behalf of the Works Ministry, Tengku Zulpuri Shah said the list was sent to the MoF on May 6.

“Meanwhile, as of Nov 7, 2018, 60 projects under construction were being reviewed,” he said.

“The savings on the cost of these 60 projects will only be determined after they have been evaluated,” he said during the oral question session.

He was replying to a question from Senator Datuk Yong Wui Chung who wanted to know the number of projects throughout the country which have been delayed and re-evaluated since the 14th General Election.
