Iranian Military Commander Warns U.S. Against Sanction Pressures On Iran

TEHRAN, Dec 14 (NNN-TASNIM) – Chief commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), said that, the Iranian nation will not surrender under U.S. pressures, Tehran Times daily reported, on Friday.

“We tell you that, if you do not abandon (your pressures), we will set fire onto your interests,” IRGC Commander, Major General Hossein Salami, said.

He urged “the enemies to put an end to their anti-Iran plots.” Otherwise, they will “face consequences … and Iran will take revenge on any hostile act,” he noted.

“The more the pressure, the stronger the Iranian people’s determination to resist the enemy,” he stressed.

U.S. President Trump, adopted a maximum pressure campaign against Iran, since he walked away from the Iranian 2015 landmark nuclear deal, in May, 2018.

Trump’s administration’s pressures include sanctions on Iran’s economy, particularly its oil exports, and bans on top Iranian figures and organisations.

Trump pushes for renewed talks on Iran’s nuclear deal and Tehran’s ballistic missile programme, which Tehran rejects.– NNN-TASNIM
