RAMALLAH, Palestine, Dec 12 (NNN-WAFA) – Ten Palestinians were arrested on Wednesday, during Israeli army’s raids into West Bank cities, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said.
At least six of them were arrested during the raid, into the city of Ramallah and nearby villages, the PPS, a quasi-governmental organisation that provides legal aid to Palestinian prisoners, said in a statement.
Former prisoner, Bushra Taweel, was arrested again in the raid, only one week after her release from Israeli jail, the PPS said.
Taweel served 20 months of Israeli administrative detention, which is an Israeli policy allowing authorities to detain Palestinians for long period, without charges or trial, only based on secret evidence.
Meanwhile, two Palestinians were detained during an Israeli raid into the Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem, and another two Palestinians were arrested during an Israeli raid into the Halhoul village near the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
Local sources said, Israeli soldiers seized two cars during the raid. They also seized surveillance cameras from the area, including from a government office, and searched some Palestinian homes, after which limited clashes broke out, around dawn.– NNN-WAFA
