BEIRUT, Dec 12 (NNN-NNA) – Lebanon’s Hezbollah slammed Bahrain, for hosting a religious forum that allowed the participation of Israel.
In a statement, the Lebanese Shiite political party criticised the Gulf country, for disregarding the Lebanese and Palestinian “martyrs,” killed by Israeli forces in the past years.
“Bahrain is being turned into an American and Israeli platform, with the aim to gain access to the heart of the Arab and Islamic nation,” Hezbollah said.
Shlomo Amar, chief rabbi of Jerusalem, took part in the forum, along with clerics from Kuwait, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan and other Arab and Islamic countries.
Amar said, he hopes Israel and Bahrain facilitate mutual visits between the two countries, without the need for special coordination.– NNN-NNA
