Kuwait Optimistic About Gulf Dispute Resolution: Deputy FM

KUWAIT, Dec 10 (NNN-KUNA) – Kuwait remains optimistic about resolving the dispute between Gulf neighbours, Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister, Khaled Al-Jarallah, said.

He made the remarks at a reception held in the Qatari embassy in Kuwait.

Saudi Arabia will host the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit, in the capital Riyadh, on Dec 10 (today), where Gulf leaders will discuss topics that could reinforce cooperation and integration in politics, defence, security, and review regional and international policies.

The Qatari Emir received an invitation from the Saudi King to attend the summit.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt imposed a diplomatic and economic boycott on Qatar since Jun, 2017, over allegations that the gas-rich Gulf country supports terrorism and interferes in their domestic affairs, which Doha has repeatedly denied.– NNN-KUNA
