Israeli Aircraft Strike Gaza Militants’ Facilities

GAZA, Palestine, Dec 8 (NNN-WAFA) – Israeli warplanes attacked facilities that belong to militants of the Islamic Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip early Sunday (today), in response to rockets fired from the coastal enclave into the Jewish state hours earlier.

“Three rockets were fired from Gaza at Israeli towns and cities earlier tonight,” the IDF tweeted, adding that two rockets were intercepted mid-air by the Iron Dome Aerial Defence System.

“In response, IDF fighter jets & attack helicopters struck a number of Hamas targets in Gaza.”

Local media in Gaza reported that Israeli strikes targeted sites belonging to Hamas’ armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades.

No one claimed responsibility for the three rockets fired into southern Israel, which triggered the Israeli airstrikes.
