Jordan Thwarts Attempt To Smuggle Narcotics

AMMAN, Dec 1 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotics from Syria on the Jordan-Syria border, according to the Jordanian Armed Forces.

According to the Jordanian army, seven individuals attempted to infiltrate from Syria into Jordan. Two of them were injured and they were all returned to Syria.

A military source at the army said, the armed forces opened fire at the infiltrators, as they attempted to enter Jordan.

According to the source, 1.2 million pills of narcotics were found, along with automatic weapons.

Since the outbreak of the crisis in Syria, Jordan thwarted several similar attempts at the border, that stretches more than 378 km.– NNN-PETRA
