Malaysia Inks 4 MoU With South Korea

SEOUL, Nov 28 (NNN-Bernama) — Malaysia is fully reaping the opportunity to step up its game in various fields by signing four memoranda of understanding (MoU) to tap on and work together with South Korea here, Thursday.

The four MoU were inked in the presence of leaders of both countries namely Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamed and his counterpart, President Moon Jae-In after a bilateral meeting at the Presidential Blue House Thursday.

The first MoU is to intensify cooperation on information and communications technology. It was signed between Malaysia’s Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Gobind Singh Deo and South Korea’s Minister of Science and ICT, Choi Kiyoung.

Next was an MoU to step up cooperation in Digital Government, signed between Minister of Foreign Affairs Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah and South Korea’s Minister of the Interior and Safety, Chin Young.

Malaysia and South Korea will also work together in the crucial field of healthcare and medical science.

The MoU was signed between Health Minister, Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad and Park Neunghoo, South Korea’s Minister of Health and Welfare.

The fourth MoU is on cooperation in the field of water and sewerage management which was signed between Minister of Water, Land and Natural Resources, Dr Xavier Jayakumar and South Korea’s Minister of Environment, Cho Myung-Rae. (photoBERNAMA)
