BEIRUT, Lebanon, Nov 26 (NNN-NNA) – The UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Yan Kubish, warned against a civil strife in the country, a media outlet reported.
Kubish called upon all political parties to keep their supporters from clashes, and to stop the protests from turning into means of implementing political agendas, said Elnashra, an online independent newspaper.
Earlier in the day, around 10 people were injured in clashes, between civil society protesters and supporters of Shiite political parties Hezbollah and the Amal Movement.
Lebanese authorities have so far failed to end the nationwide demonstrations, which have lasted since Oct 17, with the aim of toppling the ruling class.– NNN-NNA
