DUBAI, Nov 23 (NNN-WAM) – A delegation from the German Federal Parliament, visited the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, and reviewed Dubai’s experience on clean energy projects.
The UAE side highlighted Dubai’s experience in developing the renewable and clean energy, less consumption of natural resources and finding alternative solutions to traditional energy sources.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, said, the solar park project will promote sustainable development and transform Dubai into a global hub for clean energy and green economy.
“The Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, aims to provide 75 percent of Dubai’s total power output, from clean energy sources by 2050, and will make Dubai a city with the lowest carbon footprint in the world,” Tayer said.– NNN-WAM
