KUALA LUMPUR,Nov 15 (Bernama) — On the 15th of November 2019, Finterra Technologies Sdn Bhd, a blockchain-based company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DHS Hospitality Academy Sdn Bhd (DHS), in a move set to establish an endowment fund on a platform built on blockchain. Established in 2016, DHS is a work-based learning academy, offering hospitality work experience to youth. It also offers programmes for those who are eager to be a part of the hospitality industry programmes.
The signing of the MoU took place at the University of Malaysia Centre for Continuing Education, with Finterra being represented by its Executive Chairman and its Director of Waqf, while DHS was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Dr Sri Kumar Sivakumaran. Under this new partnership, Finterra enables DHS to establish the endowment fund which will go towards the industry training and work attachment programmes offered by DHS, catering specifically to the hospitality sector.
