DUBAI, Nov 9 (NNN-WAM) – United Arab Emirates’ (UAE’s) Minister of Economy, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri said, “Ethiopia is an important trade partner for the UAE,” noting, the two countries share robust cultural and fraternal ties in various fields.
Mansouri made the remarks as he received Ethiopian Minister of Trade and Industry, Fetlework Gebre-Egziabher, as the two officials explored means to advance bilateral relations to a higher level.
“Ethiopia is an important trade and investment partner for the UAE in East Africa. Ethiopia has a large and emerging consumer market of up to 100 million people, with promising untapped economic potential and enormous diverse resources in several sectors,” the UAE minister said.
He noted that, Addis Ababa is an “essential gate for UAE’s investments in East African markets.”
The two ministers reviewed paths for accelerating trade exchanges in fields of agriculture, livestock and poultry, as well as, logistics, underscoring Ethiopia’s participation in EXPO 2020 Dubai.
The Ethiopian official hailed the long-standing and growing relations between the two sides and partnerships across various domains.– NNN-WAM
