BEIRUT, Nov 7 (NNN-NNA) – Lebanese President, Michel Aoun, said that, the new government will be formed with experienced ministers, who have great skills and competence, Lebanon Presidency’s website reported.
“The new ministers will have great reputation and they won’t be involved in any corrupt practices,” Aoun said, during his meeting with a World Bank official.
He also vowed to investigate current and former politicians, suspected of being corrupt, saying, all involved in malpractices and corruption will be held accountable.
Lebanon is going through a very sensitive economic situation and needs a homogeneous government, capable of achieving high productivity without being blocked by any political conflict and bickering.
The current nationwide protests in Lebanon, starting on Oct 17, have succeeded in toppling the Lebanese government, which failed to implement serious economic reforms.
Aoun is expected to start consultations with members of parliament soon, in a bid to name a new prime minister, who will form a new government.– NNN-NNA
