AMMAN, Nov 6 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan, on Tuesday, welcomed a power-sharing deal signed in Saudi Arabia, between the internationally-recognised Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council (STC), to end the conflict.
Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, said, the deal was a significant step to end the conflict and safeguard the unity of Yemen.
“The deal opens the doors to a political solution to the crisis,” according to the Foreign Ministry.
The minister expressed Jordan’s appreciation for Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, for their role in inking the agreement.
On Tuesday, the internationally recognised government of Yemen signed an agreement with STC, in Riyadh, to put an end to the conflict in the country.– NNN-PETRA
