YANGON, Myanmar, Nov 5 (NNN-MNA) – Two people were killed on the spot, with 15 others injured, in a truck accident in Myanmar’s Magway region, according to a release from the Home Affairs Ministry today (Tuesday).
The crash took place in Gangaw township, the release said.
With 17 people aboard, a six-wheeled truck, travelling from Gangaw to Kale, lost control and plunged into a nearby ravine, at 12:00 p.m. local time.
The injured, including the driver, were brought to the Gangaw General Hospital for treatment.
The truck driver was charged for negligent driving, under the country’s Penal Code.– NNN-MNA
