NEW DELHI, India, Oct 30 (NNN-PTI) – One of India’s biggest private airlines, IndiGo, has reportedly placed a huge order for 300 Airbus planes, worth 33 billion U.S. dollars.
This is one of the biggest purchases for Airbus, from a single airline operator.
The new planes would replace old aircraft in its fleet, and operate non-stop flights to long-haul destinations, such as London and Tokyo, official sources at the IndiGo Airlines confirmed.
Indian media quoted Airbus as saying, in a statement on Tuesday, that, the order was for a mix of A320neo, A321neo and A321XLR (extra long range) aircraft.– NNN-PTI
