WINDHOEK, Namibia, Oct 22 (NNN-NAMPA) – Museum Association of Namibia, in a press statement released on Monday, said that, a total of 23 artefacts of Namibian origin, are expected to return to Namibia from Germany.
This is part of an agreement between the Museum Association of Namibia and the Ethnological Museum of Berlin.
As part of the cooperation between the Namibian and German entities, 23 objects were selected, under a project titled, “Confronting Colonial Pasts, Envisioning Creative Futures,” Namibia’s Deputy Director for Heritage and Culture Programmes in the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture, Boyson Ngond, said.
Ngondo said, the final list of objects to be repatriated to Namibia is to be determined, before they return next year.– NNN-NAMPA
