Iranian President Says U.S. Commits “Crime” Against Iranians

TEHRAN, Oct 16 (NNN-IRNA) – Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, said that, the United States has committed “crime,” by imposing sanctions against Iran.

It’s a “shame” for the U.S. to ban Iranians’ access to food and medicines, through sanctions, Rouhani said, calling the anti-Iran sanctions “economic terrorism.”

Rouhani stressed that, the U.S. pressures, however, would not force the Iranians to their kneels.

“Despite the unjust and unprecedented sanctions, Iranian scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs and producers have done their utmost, and we are on the path of complete self-sufficiency,” he said.

U.S. President, Donald Trump, pulled Washington out of the landmark 2015 Iranian nuclear deal last year, and demanded renewed nuclear talks with Iran, for more restrictions on the latter’s nuclear programme.

Washington imposed unprecedented sanctions on Iran’s economy, particularly on its oil exports, after Tehran dismissed its demands.– NNN-IRNA
