MUSCAT, Oman, Oct 11 (NNN-ONA) – The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, on Thursday, agreed on facilitating intra-regional tourism, by lowering the prices of airline tickets between GCC countries.
During the fourth meeting of the GCC ministers of tourism, held in Muscat, the ministers also discussed choosing a Gulf city every year, to be the capital of Gulf tourism.
The meeting approved the selection of Ras Al Khaimah, in the United Arab Emirates, as the capital of Gulf tourism for 2020.
The ministers adopted several other proposals, including the organisation of an annual exhibition of handicrafts.
They also discussed the summary report on the implementation of a plan, on joint tourism work among the GCC countries.– NNN-ONA
