HANOI, Oct 2 (NNN-VNA) – Vietnamese Prime Minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and his visiting Lao counterpart, Thongloun Sisoulith, agreed to facilitate all-level visits, enhance sharing of experience in socioeconomic development, and encourage the two countries’ government agencies to expand ties.
The two leaders also vowed to continue implementing border treaties and agreements, and working to raise two-way trade by 10-15 percent annually.
Following their talks, the two prime ministers witnessed the signing of eight cooperation agreements, in the fields of economy, investment, education, finance, banking, energy and aviation.
The two sides issued a joint declaration, on the strengthening of Vietnam-Laos relations of great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation in the new situation.
Later, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President, Nguyen Phu Trong, met with the Lao prime minister.– NNN-VNA
