MUSCAT, Sept 19 (NNN-ONA) – Omani Ministry of Tourism organised a workshop, aimed at introducing Oman to China’s market, to attract Chinese tourists.
The workshop, titled “Omani Tourism Readiness to Receive Chinese Tourists,” was held in the Omani capital Muscat, in the presence of Maitha Saif Al Mahrouqi, undersecretary of the Omani Ministry of Tourism, and Li Lingbing, China’s ambassador to Oman.
The workshop was also attended by a number of companies and institutions in the Omani tourism sector.
The Omani official stressed the importance of the Chinese market to Oman, as one of the most important global markets targeted by Omani tourism.
Li said, relations between Oman and China are distinguished and further increased, especially after the establishment of strategic partnership between the two countries last year.
“This has increased the volume of cooperation between the two countries in many fields, including tourism, and doubled the number of Chinese tourists arriving in Oman, during the first half of this year,” Li added.– NNN-ONA
