Kuwait Calls For Caution In Dealing With Threats To Regional Security

KUWAIT, Sept 18 (NNN-KUNA) – Kuwait called for caution to face the threats to security and stability in the region.

Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Acting Defence Minister, Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, made the remarks during a meeting with the Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid Al-Jarallah and a number of ranking officers of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces.

He praised the efforts of the armed forces and vital military sectors for preserving the security of Kuwait.

He also reviewed the current regional developments and threats to the region, reiterating Kuwait’s condemnation of the recent attacks on Saudi oil facilities.

On Sept 14, bomb-laden drones hit two oil production plants of Saudi oil giant, Aramco, in Abqaiq and Khurais, knocking out half of its oil output and leading to an oil price hike.

Yemen’s Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for the attacks, but the U.S. held Iran, the Houthi ally, accountable.– NNN-KUNA
