BEIRUT, Lebanon, Sept 15 (NNN-NNA) – The USS Ramage, a U.S. destroyer, docked at Lebanon’s Beirut Port on Saturday, local TV Channel LBCI reported.
U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Elizabeth Richard, said that, the arrival of the military battleship to Lebanon is a political message, assuring the depth of relations between Lebanon and the United States.
The biggest contributor of military equipment to the Lebanese army is the United States.
The Lebanese army has received a total of 1.5 billion U.S. dollars in military aid, from successive U.S. administrations, since the war with Israel in 2006.– NNN-NNA
