Zambales, Philippines, June 3 – Containers with garbage from Canada wait to be loaded on the cargo ship M/V Bavaria at Subic port in Zambales province, northwestern Philippines. The Philippines, one of two Southeast Asian countries that protested being treated like dumpsites by wealthier nations, shipped 69 containers of what it’s officials called illegally transported garbage back to Canada.
