DOHA, Qatar, Aug 31 (NNN-QNA) – Qatar appealed to all Yemeni factions, to let the voice of wisdom and the people’s interests prevail, and to avoid tearing apart Yemen’s social fabric, according to a Qatari foreign ministry statement.
“The military escalation must be stopped immediately, and return to the outcome of the comprehensive national dialogue, agreed upon by political forces and all spectra of the Yemeni people,” read the statement.
“Qatar is following with great sorrow and sadness, the military developments and bloody confrontations in Aden and Abyan,” it said.
The statement noted that, the war in Yemen has been prolonged and the human tragedy deepened in such a way that it cannot be overlooked.
Qatar reiterates its full support to the brotherly Yemeni people, to preserve their security, safety and unity, it said.– NNN-QNA
