SANAA, Yemen, Aug 27 (NNN-SABA) – Yemen’s Houthi rebels said, they launched multiple drone attacks on a vital military site in the Saudi capital Riyadh, on Monday.
“We call on civilians to stay away from military sites because they become legitimate targets,” a statement by the Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Sarea, said.
Sarea did not name the target.
There was no comment yet from Saudi Arabia on the alleged attack.
It was the fifth attack launched by the Houthi rebels against Saudi Arabia, in fewer than 24 hours, but most of the attacks were intercepted by Saudi air defence forces.
Saudi Arabia has been leading an Arab military coalition against the Iran-allied Houthis in Yemen, for more than five years, in support of the exiled internationally-recognised government of Yemeni President, Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.– NNN-SABA
