NEW DELHI, India, Aug 26 (NNN-PTI) – The India Meteorological Department (IMD), on Sunday, warned of heavy rainfall in isolated places, in India’s western state of Rajasthan and the central state of Madhya Pradesh.
The IMD said, in its warning bulletin, that, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely, at isolated places over East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and the eastern state of Odisha.
It also stated heavy rainfall at isolated places, over the northern states of Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, the eastern states of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and the southern states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Union Territories of Chandigarh and Puducherry.
The IMD also warned of possible thunderstorm, accompanied by lightning, at certain places over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha.– NNN-PTI
