MUSCAT, Oman, Aug 22 (NNN-ONA) – The Omani Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation (WHO), on Wednesday signed a goodwill letter, that designates Oman to host two international health conferences, scheduled for Dec.
The goodwill letter was signed between Ahmed Al-Saidi, Omani health minister, and Svetlana Axelrod, WHO assistant director-general for noncommunicable diseases and mental health, at the Omani Ministry of Health.
According to a ministry press release, the two sides discussed preparations for the annual Meeting of National Directors and Programme Managers of Noncommunicable Diseases, and the second Global Partners Forum on Noncommunicable Diseases Prevention and Control.
They also discussed matters of common concern and cooperation in a number of health fields.– NNN-ONA
