AMMAN, Jordan, Aug 18 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan, on Saturday, welcomed Sudan’s signing of a transitional deal between the ruling military council in the country and the opposition leaders.
Jordan’s Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, labelled the signing of the deal, as a “new era” in Sudan, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The minister emphasised that, Jordan will continue supporting the Sudanese in their efforts to overcome challenges and build their future.
Safadi voiced his wishes for the Sudanese people, to realise their aspirations in perpetuating democracy and reaching peace and security.
Sudan’s Transitional Military Council and the opposition Freedom and Change Alliance, on Saturday, officially signed the political and constitutional declarations, to establish transitional rule in Sudan.– NNN-PETRA
