Iraqi, Palestinian Fm’s Hold Phone Call Over Palestine’s Issue

BAGHDAD, Iraq, Aug 15 (NNN-NINA) – Iraq, on Wednesday, called on the international community to adhere to the resolutions of international legitimacy, with regard to the Palestinian issue.

Iraq’s comment came, during a phone call between Iraqi Foreign Minister, Mohammed al-Hakim, and his Palestinian counterpart, Riyad al-Maliki, during which, the two ministers discussed bilateral ties and development in regional issues.

Al-Hakim expressed Iraq’s rejection of any resolution related to seizing Palestinian territories, and called for “adherence to the resolutions of international legitimacy, and asserted the importance of international political track, which has universal acceptance and support,” according to the statement.

Al-Hakim also confirmed “Iraq’s support for the Palestinian issue, and the struggle of the Palestinian people, for their legitimate national rights and the establishment of an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital,” it added.– NNN-NINA
