Arab Coalition Says Houthi Drone Landed Inside Yemen

DUBAI, United Arab Emirate, Aug 14 (NNN-WAM) – The Arab coalition said, the “Iranian-backed” Houthi militias launched a drone from Sanaa, but landed on civilians in Yemen, according to Al Arabiya TV.

“The Houthis repeatedly lie by claiming to have targeted the Saudi Abha airport,” said Col. Turki Al Malki, the Arab coalition forces’ official spokesman.

He noted that the drone landed 35 km, after it had been launched in the province of Amran on civilian areas.

Houthis have recently stepped up drone attacks on Saudi Arabia, but most of the drones were intercepted by the kingdom’s air force.

Saudi Arabia has been leading an Arab military coalition against the Iran-allied Houthis in Yemen, for more than four years, in support of the exiled internationally-recognised government of Yemeni President, Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.– NNN-WAM
