SANAA, Yemen, Aug 10 (NNN-SABA) – A brother of the leader of Yemen’s Houthi rebel group was assassinated, Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported, Friday.
Ibrahim bin Badr al-Deen al-Houthi, brother of Abdulmalik al-Houthi, “was assassinated by treacherous hands, affiliated with the U.S.-Israeli aggression and its tools,” the television said, without giving further details.
The Houthi rebels control much of Yemen’s north, and has been fighting a Saudi-led coalition forces since 2014.
Saudi Arabia has been leading an Arab military coalition against the Houthis in Yemen, for more than four years, in support of the exiled internationally-recognised government of Yemeni President, Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.– NNN-SABA
