The establishment of the China Cultural Center in Kuala Lumpur is based on the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Malaysia and the Government of the People’s Republic of China. The CCC KL was registered in 2018 and operated under the purview of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China and is defined as a non-profit “official institution”. Since the 1980s, a total of 37 China Cultural Centers have been established worldwide.
