GERIK, Aug 3 (NNN-Bernama) — Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim graced the Malaysian-level 2019 International Tiger Day celebration which was held at Taman Inai here today.
Her Royal Highness(HRH) arrived at the park at 9.30 am accompanied by Perbadanan Taman Negeri Perak (PTNPk) general manager Mohamed Shah Redza Hussein.
Also accompanying HRH were Raja Dihilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzulkarnain Sultan Idris A’fifullah Shah, Raja Kecil Besar Raja Azlan Muzzaffar Shah and Puteri Sultan Perak Raja Nazira Safya.
Tuanku Zara also witnessed a Tiger Dance and handing over of a book titled ‘Orang Asli Jahai of Royal Belum’ as well as presentation of a cheque from Persatuan Pelindung Harimau Malaysia (RIMAU) to PTNPk for the Royal Belum Orang Asli Forest Rangers Team.
After launching the celebration, Tuanku Zara visited a mural , an exhibition on the Malayan Tiger and the booths of PTNPk and RIMAU.
The Royal Belum Park is one of the remaining tiger habitats in the peninsula.
