KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 (Bernama) — Carsome, Southeast Asia’s leading online used car platform, has named Danny Chin as its newly-created role of Group Chief Marketing Officer. In his new role, Chin will lead all Carsome’s brand marketing, consumer marketing and trade marketing activities across the region with offices in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. Danny will be reporting to the Group CEO and co-founder, Eric Cheng.
“His senior leadership position is key for our business growth as the brand continues to provide convenience to customers across the region through our services” said Eric Cheng. Prior to this, Chin was the Chief Marketing Officer at redONE, Malaysia’s first postpaid Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) before leaving the company earlier this year. His responsibilities at redONE included the growth of the consumer brand strategy, product marketing, retail marketing and consumer engagement which lead the company to achieve its 1 million postpaid customers in Sept 2018.
