AMMAN, Jordan, Aug 1 (NNN-PETRA) – King Abdullah II of Jordan, on Wednesday, received Jared Kushner, senior adviser to U.S. President, Donald Trump, who is visiting Jordan, as part of a regional tour.
Discussing efforts to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the Jordanian leader stressed the need to achieve just, comprehensive and lasting peace, on the basis of the two-state solution, which guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, living side by side with Israel, in peace and security.
According to the Jordanian monarch, such a solution needs to be in line with the Arab Peace Initiative, international law, and relevant UN resolutions.– NNN-PETRA
