Palestinians In Gaza Mark Traditional Costume Day

GAZA, Palestine, July 31 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestinians in Gaza City, on Tuesday, celebrated the Palestinian Traditional Costume Day, by marching in traditional dress symbolic of the Palestinian identity.

Surrounding their necks with the Palestinian traditional scarfs, the marchers sang traditional songs and danced the traditional Palestinian dance known as “a-Dabkeh.”

Several teenagers waved Palestinian flags and carried what they called, the keys of return, as a reminder of the homes their grandparents were forced to leave in 1948.

Aaref Bakker, director of public relations at the Ministry of culture, said, the Palestinian people should follow their traditions related to their Palestinian heritage.

The Palestinian heritage “is a testament to the Palestinians’ adherence to their land, customs and traditions,” he noted.– NNN-WAFA
