ACCRA, Ghana, July 30 (NNN-GNA) – Ghanaian President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Monday, called for a new and more progressive agenda, in its relations with the United States.
This relationship, Akufo-Addo said, should focus more on trade and investment, which will be of mutual benefit to both countries.
“We are looking for a new, more progressive agenda between us, which is an agenda where Ghanaian and American enterprises will get together, to promote economic relations between our two countries,” the president said, during a visit by Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Pelosi arrived in Ghana on Sunday, leading a delegation from the U.S. House of Representatives on a visit, the first by a speaker of the U.S. legislature, to Ghana.
Pelosi also praised Ghana for its democratic credentials and relative stability within the African region.– NNN-GNA
