YANGON, Myanmar, July 28 (NNN-MNA) – At least 18 people were feared killed, by a massive landslide that hit a jade mine in Hpakant, Myanmar’s northernmost Kachin state, a local official said today (Sunday).
The landslide took place early Sunday morning, killing company staff and security personnel, the official from the township general administration department, said.
So far, 13 bodies had been recovered and five were still missing, the official added.– NNN-MNA
