AMMAN, Jordan, July 24 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordan and Turkey highlighted the Palestinian issue as the top agenda in the Middle East.
The declaration was jointly made by Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, and his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu, during their meeting in Amman.
The two officials also underlined the two-state solution as the only way to ensure the creation of an independent Palestinian state, along the 1967 border, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Safadi voiced appreciation for Turkey’s position on Jerusalem, and its constant coordination to protect the holy city.
The two ministers stressed continued efforts to secure the financial needs of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.– NNN-PETRA
