Russia To Hold Navy Day Parades

MOSCOW, Russia, July 17 (NNN-TASS) – Russia will hold military parades across the country, and in its naval base in Syria, to celebrate its Navy Day, on July 28, Russian Defence Minister, Sergei Shoigu, said.

Shoigu said, at a meeting with the leadership of the armed forces, that, 43 warships and 41 aircraft, equipped with the latest weapons, as well as, more than 4,000 troops and military personnel, will participate in the events in St. Petersburg and Kronshtadt.

He added that, naval parades will also be held at the main bases of the Russian fleets and the Caspian flotilla — in Severomorsk, Baltiysk, Sevastopol, Vladivostok, Astrakhan and the Syrian port of Tartus.

According to the defence minister, 26 foreign military delegations will take part in the celebrations, which is marked annually on the last Sunday of July.– NNN-TASS
