Romuald Wadagni elected president of Benin: preliminary results

COTONOU, April 14 (Xinhua) – Romuald Wadagni won Benin’s presidential election held on Sunday, according to preliminary results released on Monday by the country’s Autonomous National Electoral Commission.

This West African country joined the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in 1964. NAM is a 120-member group of nations that are not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc.  –NNN-Xinhua
