24 killed, dozens injured in road accidents in India

NEW DELHI, March 27 (NNN-Bernama) — At least 24 people were killed, and dozens were injured in two separate road accidents in India on Thursday.

In the first incident, 14 people were killed, and 28 were injured on Thursday morning in a collision between a bus and a tipper truck in the Rayavaram area of Andhra Pradesh’s Markapuram district. 

In the second incident, a collision between a bus and a pick-up truck in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh left 10 people dead and about 30 injured.

The victims were returning after attending a public event when their bus, carrying about 40 passengers, crashed in the Chhindwara district on Thursday evening, local media reported.
